Collected at Mexico, Chiapas, Cintalapa municipality, 29. 4 km NW Cintalapa, Zona de Aprovechamiento Forestal los Ocotones, 1067 m, 16.770 ° N, 93.99° W.  Formerly Oryzomys rostratus|Handleomys rostratus.  Also as Long-nosed Oryzomys.
